A Sorrowful Day

Sir Robert Dobber "Robbie"
came to me in 1999 when he was five. Died yesterday at age fourteen after nine lovely years. We had a quiet last day today enjoying the sun in his favourite back yard and then accompanied by wonderful friends who love us both we made the trip to the vet.
I will miss him terribly.

Dear Erin,

I am so sorry about Robbie's death. He was a good dog.

I remember very well your bringing him home to our little duplex, just after our own first baby was welcomed there. I remember your joy over cutsie bandanas was as great as mine over booties and little overalls for Luc.

It was so good when he spent Christmas 2000 with us, and even guarded little Sophie as she slept in her carseat.

Robbie had been to more churches than most human adults I know, and brought a lot of joy to many of your parishoners' lives.

I know that this is a huge loss to you. Please know that your friends in Winnipeg mourn with you and keep you in our prayers.

Love,
Jane, Glenn, Luc and Sophie

Dear Erin,

So sorry to hear about Robbie's passing. My favourite memory of Robbie is when we took him for a night and he woke me up with his furious barking. I went to see what was up and he was staring down a big skunk on the other side of our patio door.
Good doggie !

Glenn

I'm so sorry. It does hurt so, I know...I'm glad you enriched each other's lives, though.
Love and prayers as you deal with the grief

Erin - I am so, so sorry. I know how much you loved your cute little puppy, and I thik everyone else loved him too. Robbie was wonderful little dog, and it is very sad he is gone now.

I am so sorry for your loss. I love you, and you will be in my heart this week.

Erin:
So sorry to hear about Robbie's death. He was a very precious soul and the two of you had such a gentle loving bond.

Brian found some photos of Robbie last night and we remembered our short visits with him.

Thinking of you, sweetie.
